Over a year ago, @Workit_LN launch an app where you could earn sats while walking and take part in challenges where you could earn sats while participating with others.
At some point last year, some of the challenges where I took part raised a pool prize of 1.5M sats and only those completing the number of steps (up to 10K a day for two weeks) received part of the prize.
Back in February this year, they suffered an attack where the hacker drained up to 800$ worth in Bitcoin. User funds were safe and I could retire most of them to my other wallets.
Something changed from there as only one more big challenge was held in April. Since then, there have been challenges every month but prize pool were really low (highest around 600 sats).
Last week, after completing my routine walk/run in the morning, I did check the app to update my steps and I noticed that 600 sats had disappeared from my wallet. I removed the remaining sats to another wallet and contacted support team. They worked great in other occasions.
Yesterday, I received an email stating that they had experienced a security breach that resulted in the theft of user funds. They were investigating the incident to prevent further impact and apologized for the inconvenience.
This morning , I checked the app after my morning walk again and 50 sats remaining in the wallet had disappeared again.
So, it seems that this app is no longer working safely. Please be aware.
Maybe whatever is preventing me from withdrawing my balance is also protecting it from being stolen.

That's interesting! I have managed to withdraw small amounts in between sats disappearing and receiving the sats in other wallets. However I am not using the hot wallets after the warnings from yesterday.

I haven’t used it much at all since they didn’t offer the big prize challenges anymore. I think I have about 20 sats left on there.

I kept using it as I am still walking/running daily anyway. I was only keeping small amounts.

I also have sMiles which pays sats for walking. Only problem is you need 5k sats before you can withdraw. They offer a couple daily games you can play as well to get some free sats but it's not much.

Yes, I've got it too. The 5k sats threshold is just helping me to develop my patience.
Also, I came across an @Undisciplined's comment in nostr wrt SOUNDHSA just in time to complete the challenge at the end of August.
