Our hearts across this country are heavy on this solemn day.
24 years ago the world changed, America changed no matter who you are or where you live 9/11 has affected each and every person. From the Global War of Terror (GWOT) to funding of various government programs everyone has been affected by the trickle down effects.
My thoughts and prayers continue to go out to these families many of whom were left with nothing to identify. Just last month 3 more families were notified that there family member had finally been identified after almost 24 years. God bless the scientists who continue to work to identify the remaining 1,100 victims for their tireless work to help these families heal.

Grateful for the scientists bringing closure, one DNA match at a time.

Is this just a matter of forensic confirmation?
It seems incomprehensible that we wouldn’t know almost exactly who all died there.

Due to the fires and the tower collapses while we know people were in the building when it came down there wasn't a body that was found. In some cases the body parts that were found were extremely degradated and the DNA testing at the time and up until now isnt advanced enough to ID them.
Some parts also just dont have DNA and so other methods are literally being invented/created to link these remains with loved ones. It just takes a lot of time and waiting for scientific advancement.
