Title for SN TABCONF Takeover changes to: Stacker News In Real Life: SNIRL 1

Since this event is going to happen yearly right alongside TABCONF I needed a name for it. While takeover sounds cool it doesn’t have lasting appeal. As I was thinking it came to me last night this event Stacker News Takes Over TABCONF will not be called

Stacker News In Real Life 1: SNIRL 1

This is the branding I will be using. As TABCONF has its unique design and branding SNIRL will as well!

Will try to work with @deSign_r on the brand development!

I'd be honored to help with the branding. Who want a SN PRESS PASS? I like this initiative even more now: first because IRL give SN some spotlight in meatspace, second because it could be something that is not really tied only to TABCONF. Stackers could cover any event on a voluntary basis like you are doing with this and use SN to spread the signal across the worldwide growing community.

Looking forward to seeing how it will evolve.

I kinda like TABCONF Takeover. It's got that nice alliteration and rolls off the tongue and is playful.

Stacker News IRL has a nice ring to it, but it doesn't sound like a conference event. It sounds like a podcast

Yeah but eventually I want to make this an annual event Along side at the moment and if we grow big enough do I can do it independently of TABCONF.

Bootstrapping along a really good low key bitcoin conference on a college campus is easier to do and doesn’t cost much to pull off.

If I plan to do this every year we should either number or state the year the event is happening.

I got my satcards for the giveaways!! I plan on using two to promote my two territories in a fun way.

I need to find an artist who can draw/print on these

Or I just might go with a simple SNIRL 1 design.

draw or print over directly isn't ideal. Draw maybe get easily damaged if not protected with a extra transapret later and to priint over them you need special machine/inks.

You could actually print the business cards designs as stickers and place it over the NFC cards... stickermule can do the job instead of vistaprint. That will make really unique business cards!

It might be too late but can you design me some holographic stickers to place on top of the satcards?

Here are the design parameters:

All of the cards should have SNIRL 1. Which stands for Stacker News In Real Lyfe #1.
Two of the cards will be linked to my two territories. One card for each territory. The design can be minor in scale.
The last three cards can just display SNIRL with random designs. Maybe highlighting the top three territories on stacker news!

Sure thing. Consider that what will make the difference between normal-vs-holographic sticker, will be only the paper which the design will be printed on, not the design itself. I'll share some ideas soon
