pull down to refresh

I was back in England recently on a short 10-day visit, some of which was spent on the Northumberland coast. Here are some photographs from Seahouses, a town we’d always go to as a family – either on our way to Bamburgh, to grab some fish and chips, or to catch a boat ride to the Farne Islands.
I traveled very light for this trip and shot on iPhone almost exclusively, using the NOMO Cam app that allows you to emulate a variety of film cameras and stocks. To my surprise, it was a lot of fun shooting this way. Being someone who only shoots Raw and then takes the time (probably too much time) to process in Lightroom, it was really liberating to just take a shot and have no need to process it whatsoever. This will be familiar to many who shoot JPEGs and use recipes and in-camera film simulations, but I have never really dabbled in that. Anyway, food for thought...
More photos from England to come in the following days. -Tom
