The false choice on this issue is obnoxious.
I'm perfectly happy to have people come to America looking for a better life but I'm not on board with Americans being looted to give everyone in the world handouts.

ICE should camp out at hospitals and ER. I know the optics are bad (not to me) which is why I would exempt optometry and opthomology. Arrest and detain illegal immigrants after they are released from the hospital. I can finally go to the hospital w/o asking the nurse do you speak English? I am semi fluent in Ebonics too.
The Hispanic ethnicity graph is suspect. We are supposed to believe a higher percent of Whites are on snap, higher than black or hispanic? What's next, blank slate? noble savage?

Did the number of snap recipients increase during covid since food stamps provide coronavirus protection?
I forget the details about snap but there are other food stamp programs like WIC
New Mexico is number 1
DC is number 2
Why are so many people starving in DC?

Spending on SNAP increased a lot during Covid but the number of recipients only increased a little bit.
Imagine how bad one of your CA cities would be if the mayors were unchecked by state laws. That's DC.

They look great for those of us that like to live in the light. Not everyone wants to join the dark side.
I do much prefer dark mode on mobile but light mode just looks better on my laptop.
