Let’s do this!

Nothing like changing the rules for Ohtani's benefit in game 7 of the world series.

Bullshit

reply

Yeah, bullshit indeed. You can say they should change a rule but apparently this is NOT a rule. I get that it maybe should be a rule but it isn't. If that ump is correct. It's up to the ump.

Doesn't matter though. He's out.

That's why Bo is in the game.

“Beau”

reply

Dodgers are running out of chances

reply

They only need one more

reply

They are killing me.

reply

There it is

reply

They did it

reply

Congrats. They played like champs and delivered in the clutch. Jays had a great series but way too many missed opportunities in game 6 and 7 to win it.

reply

That was an unbelievable game

reply

it was an unbelievable series

Vlad Guerrero should have been MVP regardless of which team won

Earl Weaver: pitching, defense and 3 run homer

Yamamoto was pretty darn good.

This is wild. Wrobleski wasn't trying to hit Giminez but he acted like a jackass after Giminez said "what was that"

reply

Wasn’t the batter trying to get hit by flailing his arm in there? Why isn’t that against the rules?

reply

He wasn't trying to get hit.

reply

What was he doing, just fucking with the pitcher?

reply
view on x.com

He tucked his arm in. He was trying to get out of the way. It was right at him.

reply
70 sats \ 1 reply \ @Jer OP 2 Nov

It is almost impossible to stand in and get hit on purpose. Your brain will do everything possible to get you out of the way.

reply

That certainly makes sense to me

reply

I meant in the previous 2 pitches before he was hit

reply

He got out of the way of those. So clearly he wasn't trying to get hit or he would have let one of them hit him.

reply

Did you see what I’m talking about, though?

Giminez was trying to mess with him. Pretty sure he was trying to get hit. That's fine but he was glad to get on base.

reply

If he was trying to get hit he would have let the first two that barely missed him hit him.

reply

Looked like he moved into it to me.

reply

He tucked his arm in. He was clearly trying not to get hit but it was right at him. It is left on left. He is trying to stay in as long as possible to guard against the breaking ball away.

reply

I mean I don't care either way. Don't care about him messing with the pitcher either. It's a mental game.

reply

Amped up.

What is dumb is the fans. Pitchers are not trying to give gift base runners.

reply
20 sats \ 0 replies \ @Jer OP 2 Nov

Pretty crazy. I wouldn’t want Barger running at me.

reply

More baserunning mistakes!

reply

That was pretty embarrassing

reply

Jays have played better baseball but base running has been a bit questionable

reply

too many sliders

reply

I generally don't like review, but it kind of sucks for the last out in the 9th to come on a bad call.

You're probably not too upset, though

reply
42 sats \ 1 reply \ @grayruby 2 Nov

No because the ump missed three pitches in the bottom of the 8th

reply

A lot of poor calls, but I'd be bummed if it decides the World Series

reply

Dodgers swinging more freely

reply

Max likes to be aggressive in the zone.

reply

That was close to being a scoring inning without that stop by Vlad

reply
59 sats \ 1 reply \ @grayruby 2 Nov

Great play on the swinging bunt.

reply

No doubt

reply

They sure are

reply

Tough loss but a great season for the Jays. Way too many missed opportunities in game 6 and 7

reply

Another costly baserunning error.

reply

Wow... Running? Really? Dude is hurt.

Jays repeat gift to the dodgers.

reply

I'll take it. A free out

reply
50 sats \ 1 reply \ @grayruby 2 Nov

Dodgers chipping away. Feels like the Jays need a couple more runs.

reply

I agree

reply

Hat tip to Max. Hall of famer. Great job.

reply

Didnt realize he had heterochromia. Neat

reply

Think this is his last game?

reply

Dunno

reply

Back to playing Blue Jays baseball. LFG!

reply

Let's get some more runs and make this a comfortable lead.

reply
40 sats \ 0 replies \ @Jer OP 2 Nov

There should be a “Varsho” rule. A reverse Ohtani so to speak. If he doesn’t hit a home run in his first at bat we can keep him in the field but someone else gets his ABs.

reply

Well, Ohtani is throwing heat. So he isn't pacing himself.

reply
49 sats \ 1 reply \ @Jer OP 2 Nov

It’s incredible, really.

reply

It is. You run out of words.

reply

Let's go Blue Jays.

Enjoy the game @Jer. Might be awhile before we get another one of these.

reply

We can talk about dynasty tomorrow. Enjoy the game. Hoping you make some memories with the family!

reply

Indeed.

Man, this game is intense!

It sure is. What a series.

So close, but not enough. Sigh.

Doesn't look like it

reply

He did!!

reply

I don't think he deserves credit for that amazing catch

reply

An out is an out

reply

This game is so ridiculous

reply

Another run or two would be nice.

reply

More runs please.

reply

The Leather saves the day.

reply

Let's go Max. Stay sharp. Still early.

reply

Let's go bats. Have a better inning.

reply

Good job Max. Nice play Vladdy.

reply
10 sats \ 1 reply \ @Jer OP 2 Nov

@realBitcoinDog you good?

reply

GOOOOOOOOL!!!

reply

Jays lost because their pinch runner didn't know how to take a proper lead off of third base and didn't run through on a force play. One step more on a lead, or run straight through and he's probably safe and the game is over.

reply

Jays deserve to win after that double play

reply

They have played great defense tonight.

reply

Wow the missed opportunities yesterday and today.

reply
40 sats \ 1 reply \ @Jer OP 2 Nov

Do you think it’s worth bringing in Schneider in for the man with one leg?

reply

Not at this point. Bo is going to be station to station. What you wanted was him up with guys on in the first to drive them in but Vladdy looking at strike three and George getting caught stealing or whatever that was kind of nixed that.

reply

extra innings again?

reply

This game is insane.

reply

Every game I've watched

reply

oh. we do this? good to know!

reply
reply
reply

Jays outscore the Dodgers 34-26 in the series but not when it matters most.

reply

That was it. Knew Smith would connect eventually

reply

Exhale!

reply

EXTRA INNINGS!!

Man, f the dodgers

reply

From where I'm sitting it sounds like dodgeball.

reply

Let’s go, Varsho!

reply

I'm not watching this game, but my folks are (on a gimpy phone because i dont have a tv) and their excitement is a little infectious.

reply

Alright Jays, bottom 9 heroics. Put em away

reply

Rojas!!!!!!!!

reply
reply

Oh shit!

reply

Great play by Muncy saved a run.

reply

Why is Snell in there?

Why?!?

reply

Two lefties coming up.

Here comes Ol’ Baggy Eyes

Kirk needs to call some heaters

reply

Another great play

reply

They really are trying to kill Louis Varland.

reply

Its funny watching people with too much money (half kidding) show the world they don't know baseball.

reply

Not a lot of pitchers can get hit by a line drive and keep going. Oof

reply

I’m actually watching this one

reply

DODGERS SCORE!!!!

reply

Well done!!

reply

Have we learned from our mistakes in the first inning?

reply

Varsho missed a cookie.

reply

I hope Lukes gets this monkey off his back. Even a single before the end of the game.

reply

I've been thinking the same about Muncy.

reply

Lol thanks for the HR Munc.

reply

Georgie!
