So it seems that Cloudflare disrupted a big chunk on the network, I cannot even proofread my emails with ChatGPT now, what a shame.
Also, to my big surprise, ~news territory was archived.
Don't you guys think there should be some default territories that stay online forever? @koob
Cloudflare status: #1285613
No. If there were sufficient demand for ~news it wouldn't have been discontinued. The founder put a lot of effort into it.
So all territories are founded by someone? I had an impression, that ~bitcoin belongs to SN
I'd Buy ~bitcoin Territory At The Right Price #806097 ðŸ¤
we had a legit offer by someone to buy it recently. i'm not selling though.
I know you won't sell it, he's the apple of your eye!
~bitcoin ~tech ~nostr belong to me I guess, which is effectively the same thing. I've thought about letting ~nostr and ~tech archive to let someone else take them, because I'm not super committed to either.
Communities are tons of hard work even when you don't have to worry about moderation burden, and I'd prefer ~news get a founder who loves news enough to try to create a community around it. Also, I think the problem with ~news is that the category is too broad. Ideally you have lots of energy focused on a very small niche.
Luckily SN works without Cloudflare apparently.
P.S.: Why do territories get archived?
