It is hard for me to have an idea of what bitcoiners look like from the outside, but from what I see sometimes on social media, I believe many people are pushed away from this because they perceive us as a bunch of zealots that want to upturn the whole financial system and everyone who doesn't agree with the agenda is a retard / shitcoiner / insider... As obvious as it may sound, this is clearly not the way to onboard new people into bitcoin. The art of seduction is a delicate balance between your own beliefs and the other person's own line of thought, and you won't get anywhere by telling them what they think is plainly wrong (even if it is!). Something that strikes me all the time is how many people lack a minimum of self awareness and go through life fully convinced that they are such hot shots, but don't realize that for a big chunk of the community around them, they look just like morons. But I know that pretty well and I try to have some compassion for people like that, as I am pretty sure that I look the same way for some other folks. I am thinking particularly about a video I saw yesterday with Saylor being asked by some interviewer about "the level of conviction required to..." (go full ape into BTC) and you can see the question stroke right on point as he cannot even finish and the Saylor retorts that "it's not conviction"! I mean, this guy told everyone and their mother to go full into BTC, mortgage their house etc. to buy an asset that then falls 50%, his own company balance sheet must be impaired by something around a billion, and then when he's asked about conviction, he asks the interviewer back if he needs 10 microphones because maybe he doesn't have "conviction" on the one he's using... FFS really?? And then if you read most of the replies to that tweet, everyone is applauding what the messiah just said. I felt embarrassed for being a bitcoiner trying to have a little objectivity and realizing how no coiners sees us. Don't get me wrong, I have the utmost respect for Michael Saylor and gigi who posted the video, these guys are brilliant and they have done a lot for this space. Actually they are so convinced that, as the interviewer said, it's intoxicating. But for the love of Satoshi, this is not the way to attract people to our ideas and make them understand why we are so convinced, this is the way of radicals and jihadists, people who deny basic facts of life when it doesn't align with their worldview. The typical specimen on that brand is Max Keiser. This is important because bitcoin isn't inevitable, people could simply not use it and it will stay as it is now, an underground experiment for nerds on the internet. And by watching recent events on how the noose tightening around exchanges and the exclusion with banks, this is a battle that is far from being won.
I agree with you. While I'm all forward maxi style, reaching people to see our ways is a process that requires finess.
Yelling at people will drive them more to apathy, instead of conscious and self orange pill.
The question really boils down to: do we want to be a bunch of seals clapping to a millioner for our bags to worth more ? Or to help our fellow family and friends to learn and not get reeekt in the process.
✌️ my 2sats on the matter.

Sounds like you disagree with how the topic of bitcoin is communicated by some people. If I were you, I'ld take it up with the Bitcoin CEO.
