I run my own node, and am a huge Lightning fan - but outside of my circle I don't know many that have adopted Lightning.

Show them Stacker News. "Hey this is a cool site I found that allows for user tipping/micro payments via Bitcoin over the lightning network. I know Block recently enabled Bitcoin payments for all their square terminal merchants. This might be something that would add value to our user experience."
Approach it thoughtfully! A lot of people rush in without testing what they recommend. Test your solution thoroughly before saying something because it'll reflect on you—I don't say that to scare you off, it's just reality.
Read into Darth's guides on merchant adoption: he has a bunch specifically to help you out.
Good initiative!
Let get it started
