I've been building BTCBitByBit for the past year. It's a family Bitcoin app on iOS and Android with three main pieces:
Self-custody wallet — Lightning, Liquid, and on-chain from one balance. Powered by Breez SDK. It's geniunely awesome!
Learn & Earn — Short courses on Bitcoin and money. Pass the quiz, earn sats to your wallet.
Family Corner — Parents create chores and set sats rewards. Kids complete the task, parent approves, sats go to the child's own self-custody wallet. You can give them full wallet access or keep it earn-only where they can only send sats back to you.

Thank you! Great question. Every wallet is self-custody — keys are generated and stored on the device, never on our servers. Parents have full control over their child's account. You can set it to earn-only mode where kids can only receive sats from you and send them back to you, or give them full self-custody wallet access to manage their own keys when you feel they're ready. You're always in the loop — every chore completion needs your approval before sats move. Appreciate that! How old is she? The Learn & Earn courses start simple enough for younger kids and the wallet is fully controlled by you until you're ready to give them more access. My boy is 9 and loving learning about money and actually gets excited about completing chores :)
Only 6. Once she's reading better, I'll circle back to this. She likes numbers, so I'm sure she'll like seeing her balance grow as she completes chores.
Phone is full of earning applications so hardly I could add new one except I delete old ones.
How many of those apps give you actual Bitcoin (not other tokens) to a self-custody all-in one Bitcoin wallet you actually control? And how many let your kids earn to their own wallet from chores they do around the house? I'd wager none of them. BTCBitByBit does both. Might be worth clearing some space.

Pretty neat! I've started giving my kids the option to earn sats or dollars for some paid chores. This could be a neat way to do it.
