If you're interested in the concept of time from a physics perspective, I highly recommend "The Order of Time" by Carlo Rovelli. Great book.

IMO, Bitcoin is a better version of what the myth of time attempts to describe -- i.e. the "current state" or "current configuration" of all the matter in the universe.

Time definitely exists, but I'd say there is no such thing as universal time or a global "now".
That's a huge problem if you want to agree on a shared state. And yes, Bitcoin fixes this.

It comes down to speed of light being annoyingly slow. Like the other side of our planet could explode and you would still be able to see 2 frames of your favorite show on Netflix.
