I have a serious question for the SN community. Perhaps, @k00b , @sox , @ek , @Scoresby , etc. could have an idea.
We already know that Stackers without a horse receive CCs
instead of sats. Fair enough—you need a horse to ride into the Bitcoin frontier.
But what about Stackers without a gun?
Shouldn't the same rule apply? ðŸ¤
No gun, no sats. CCs only.
Or is the horse the only requirement for earning real Bitcoin, while firearms are purely cosmetic?
I'm curious whether this has ever been discussed, or if there's some unwritten cowboy logic I'm missing.

I have no idea, but I hope there's a quick solution so we all win, whether it's with or without a horse, with or without a gun!
No, I don't think CCs should be treated differently from sats, within SN.
If you ask me, I'm actually on the side of SN bringing back its custodial wallet. Obviously, it's not my freedom on the line, though. But I'm still holding out hope for some kind of de minimis exemption for bitcoin services.
Agreed. Cowboy Credits should be treated as a convenience, not a punishment, and sats should be the preferred currency.
I'm hopeful that we will have a solution for this very soon.

not really. but wallet stuff ought to get much more convenient (if convenience is what a stacker desires).
I'm grateful that you shared your ideas about this. I believe the original idea behind the horse and gun was that they would be fun little badges in the cowboy theme.
The horse isn't so much a requirement as a signal that the user has attached a wallet and can receive sats directly from you.
While I see where you are coming from, I'm on the side of making things as simple as possible for all of us stackers: to me, this means as little difference as possible between CCs and sats -- and that SN feels the same whether you are a seasoned stacker with a horse and gun or a no coiner tenderfoot who just stumbled in.
