it's not self hostable though, nor can it be used for private or non FLOSS projects.
if you want FAST, use gitea. The downside is, no integrated CI.
otherwise the only real alternative is gitlab.

https://radicle.xyz/ is better I think, although I've never used it, just like the idea.

"Alternative to Github" should never be a sentence lol
Github is a git repo hosting service. Git is an open source program. Codeberg is another git repo hosting service.
No reason not to take advantage of data replication and post to all git repo hosting services I guess lol.
