Hey guys, I’ve been in Bitcoin for over two years now. Been DCA’ing everyday for over a year. Using a Bitcoin Credit and Debit card. But I’m still down big. Getting rugged with Gemini/Genesis staking didn’t help and I learned not your keys not your coins the hard way (I have a multi sig setup now). Bitcoin is even up like 80% this year. What kept you going when you were still down for multiple years like this?
The orange pill. Once you stop caring about fiat price and focus on the amount of satoshis you have hodling becomes far easier. Surround yourself with likeminded people, even if it's just online and focus on stacking sats, because the banks are absolutely going to continue failing. Stay away from shitcoins, always. Good luck.

You have to believe in the bright future, not in a short term investment gains. You are way ahead of normal people, so relax, keep doing what you are doing and enjoy the ride.

Like anything else, it's all about conviction and sometimes it's even ok to change your stance.
A lot of investors hodl their stocks for decades, and it's really less about time, but more on how much of its value that you valuated is happening.

I guess we sometimes need to touch the stove (sorry for you but its the best education)
what keeps me going is the conviction ... when the price goes down and you feel pain in your stomach then buy more ....
As for conviction, when the doubt creeps in and you question your decision(s) .... just remember WHY .... listening to parker lewis (logical arguments) can help refresh things

Like how others said in their replies to this post, hodling requires conviction. For myself, what helped with building conviction was education. I just kept reading books and kept listening to podcasts to learn more. Bitcoin is such a vast subject and it touches so many topics. You can go down any rabbit hole and lose yourself in there for days or weeks or even years. Stay curious and keep learning.
At the same time, try to stay humble. No one can be perfectly humble, and hubris / arrogance seeps in every now and then; however, that does not mean you can't learn from your mistakes or that you can't try your best to be humble. Good luck with your DCA and congrats on your all time high sats count.
Stay humble and stack sats. Keep working and keep it real.
