Was wondering how everyone's experience has been with Nostr since launch. I've felt that all the users I've interacted with were very patient with my blunders, even Vitor. I've been a member since early 2023 and we're almost at 1M unique npubs if I recall. It's been nice to see the community grow and see how fast updates have gotten pushed to develop our ecosystem, what do you all look forward to in the coming months?

I just recently switched to Nostr from Twitter. Going to focus solely on Nostr for my content. I'm optimistic about the signal there.

the initial hype has died down but we now have a core community who get to see this thing getting built in real time, sure its slow and clunky but the devs are doing great work I remember playing around with "blockchain" social media back in 17 and it was even worse than nostr is right now, and with Jacks funding it can only bring in more interest and toolsets
I want to see things like
- Marketplaces
- Login with nostr microservices for WP and other sites
- P2P bitcoin trading with your nostr account

It feels very very very new/fragile to me... needs to survive its infancy. Doesn't seem like a place most people would enjoy - user experience can be lacking. Still many problems to solve. Seems like a place for people to tinker with and build on more than actually use.
I'm very hopeful, though! I'm digging in and reading NIPs and coding bots.
I'm trying to get my bot to send zaps to people, if anyone has any tips... 😘

Agree, the UX is still terrible. It has a huge potential but I find it so hard/unpleasant to use right now... Still lightyears away from Twitter.
BTW, do you know a Nostr client allowing to schedule posts (just to send a post at a later time/date)?

Definitely looking forward to primal. Marketplace has been in beta for a bit from my understanding as I remember @sperry selling keychains earlier in March/April. I like the idea that we can keep using relays to grow our ecosystem and spread whatever word we are trying to. #purplepilling is hard sometimes. Lol

Judging it as a normal user of any app............. its not the best UX, its clunky, WTF is pub/private key!!!
Judging it as someone who has product development knowledge ......... its a great promise and the speed of building and coordination is stunning
Judging it as a futurist .......its unimaginable what can be built coupled with the future appreciation of BTC in fiat terms which will attract more developers and capital which will create products/apps that we never thought of today
