As we all know since the 1st of April Blockstream released a firmware that allow you to mine on the Jade. I found a Jade in second hand for 23 euros (around 25 dollars). Upgrade it with the mining firmware and started mining. Very easy to do, basic interface. You will always need it to be connected to a computer because jade doesn't have internet connection and even the software will not allow you to start on the device. I assume you can connect only 1 device per computer. So you can't multiply your chances on a single computer. Nerd miner on the other hand is completely independent and you can put multiple devices mining to the same wallet increasing (remotely) your chances. Jade is solo mining. You have no stats to know if your shares are beeing accepted. You can't ping to know if you connection is acceptable. You just rely on what is displayed to you on the Jade. Contacted Blockstream support and they told me it's mining on their node. Hopefully with time we will have a better interface with some more info. Hash rate is around 80 Kh/s so basically I'm doing it just for the fun and for decentralizing it a little more, just a little or even nothing. It doesn't get to hot on the exterior case. Open it and saw that have a small FPGA next to the display. I assume the display will be burned with the time due to heat, but I'm just assuming.
Hope this first contact helps others who were curious like me.

Dude you took it too seriously

Just like to have some info. It can be hashing at 80 Kh/s but on node report only 30 Kh/s. The ping makes a huge difference too. With a small ping is already "impossible" with a ping around 200 m/s will have stale shares

Are people building nerd miners from scratch? If not were would a pleb purchase?
