I think we have to look more macro. While the applications have their unique differences, they are both revolutionary new technologies that are coming on the scene with potentially profound effects. 

The manner in which governments incorporate or reject new tech has quite a bit of overlap.  Also both technologies feel like they come with it a veritable force of inevitability.

I don't see how AI is related to crypto at all, especially for people who don't only care about buzzwords. Different technologies with different applications that require different regulation.

Will ai reg such as that requested by Sam Altman before congress yesterday, aid in a more realistic and honest conversation with US Regulators? 

Or is Chokepoint 2.0 the inevitable demise of a US crypto industry, as we know it? Ie. That ship has sailed ⛵️
