I try to study books about trading and i have no experience yet because i don't have enough money to start trading but i am teaching myself through books and wise people like you so when i get the chance i will change so many peoples life.
Thank you for sharing your experience.
Net negative. The best way is to find assets that the market misunderstands or has a hard time valuing and come up with you own value for it. If it should be more buy it, if it should be less short it. Then let time teach the market what you already knew.

I don't trade. The trade for me is understanding what Bitcoin is and that it means I have an exit from a system that has no other choice but to fail. The only time I sell Bitcoin is when I need to.

I've tried trading a few times...And ALWAYS the better and more profitable way is to buy BTC and HODL.
If you want to try to do trading, the first step is to have a Trading Plan, where you have on paper under what circumstances (volumen, pattern, type of candle, MACD, etc, etc, etc) you buy / sell and the % of your capital you're putting on risk.
Once you have it on paper, its time to do a backtesting (2 years at least), find the data from the past and test your system.
If you get good results (define good, 20% profit, 50% profit?), then you can try your system with REAL DATA but with fake money....If you are profitable, you're ready to go for it.
Its not an easy path
