What small saving hacks are helping you put more of your fiat towards Bitcoin?

Cook at home instead of eating out is a big one

reply

I’ve come to love it as a part of my life. I feel much more connected to what goes in my body

reply

It is getting too expensive to eat out. If my buddy and I go to any fast food place it runs about 30 dollars for two full meals.

I don't understand how anything in its current trajectory is sustainable.

Switching from a normal cash-back credit card to a sats-back Fold card

reply

yep, i have the gemini sats-back card. it's basically free money if you pay the card off immediately

reply

I haven't heard of that one. Fold is a pre-pay card, so it doesn't have any risk of debt issues, not that I'm particularly concerned about that for myself.

reply

yeah gemini's is a credit card. i'm definitely not advocating running up debt as a way to stack sats, but if you never carry a balance the rewards do add up over time

reply

I can’t get over the gambling centered reward system. Hard pass for me

reply

It's not really gambling, since you can't lose. Also, that's part of a bonus system. I'm getting 1% back on my purchases, plus one spin for every $10.

reply

I just wish I didn’t have to deposit funds manually to the card..

reply

I review what I am subscribed to and just lumpsum buy a stack of SATs instead

reply

Honest truth there isn't anything different you should do to save in Bitcoin that you would do to save in Fiat.

reply

I agree, saving is saving. Doesn’t matter the platform, motivation, currency, etc.

But knowing Bitcoin can motivate him to start saving. It's hard to start saving when you've spent your entire life believing there is no point in saving. The emergence of a money saving tech is a paradigm shift.
