  • I spent monday fixing some sneaky bugs
  • Yesterday more bugs and began working on deploying imgproxy which will be our first service running serverless ... overtime we'll break off pieces of our monolith so that SN is eventually mostly a handful of serverless services
    • We are also in the middle of changes to allow zapping and commenting/posting on SN without an account
  • I'm going to continue yesterday's work and then begin working on personalized "feeds"
My priorities atm: personalized feeds, user generated subs, noncustodial wallet integrations

Also, by we I mean @ekzyis. I'd like to avoid the trap of watering down credit for contributions which is usually one step away from taking credit for other people's work 🤮

I'm doing a House sitting hopefully my routines of (l)earning BTC and recording videos will be back soon.
If you don't know about House sitting, here is a short explanation: For me, its the best way to get accommodation in a place you like, for free. The only thing you have to do, could be take a dog for a walk and water the plants...
If you can work remotely, you have no kids or pets and a car, you'll qualify for most of the houses you apply.
So, you can travel and live like a local.

Wow that sounds too good to be true! Generally how hard is it difficult to find these opportunities ? Would it be hard for me being quite young to get an offer?
reply
It depends where are you located at or the destination you're interested on.
The important part, is to be reliable in order to get good reviews.

Slowly continuing work on Sov-Stack. On the menu is explicitly configuring versions of software used (Alpine base image as well as checkout tags) and next up is adding mempool to the stack as the blockchain explorer.
A second node is currently finishing to sync the blockchain, this time running on an RPi 4B.

My lightning channel advisor now shows more potential candidates. It now also searches for the nodes that will bring median cost to reach all nodes the most in inbound and outbound directions. Because you not only need to be able to reach most nodes with a reasonable cost, you also need that cost to be one the smallest, or people will just take the cheapest path

Oh cool! What node implementation(s) does it support?
reply
setting up my own lightning node, opening channels and trying out nostr.
