I used brave for a bit when it first released I’ve been a duck duck go user for a long time, I don’t know what it was but I didn’t like it in comparison to duck duck go. it seems solid, maybe I’m just so used to duck duck go I didn’t give it enough of a chance. I never made it my primary browser do I always to find it before using it, it could have just been the extra step. Is anyone really experienced with it? I’m also curious what the differences are between brave and Duck duck go?

Brave Search has gotten a lot better over time, though I switched to Startpage after reading about this: https://stackdiary.com/brave-selling-copyrighted-data-for-ai-training/

I can't say much about Brave, but DDG is into woke culture.
I won't give clear examples because what is considered as woke is different for everyone (for some it's the WHO organizers promoting a blanket ban on plastic straws while they fly their private jets to Davos, for some is Bill Gates telling us to eat bugs or lentil burgers while he can eat meat).
After DDG had their second episode of wokeism in something I was very against, I decided to ditch them. It's just a matter of time before they decide to filter their results (which by the way already happened because they used Bing before, the article mentions it).

If someone's (brave) gonna pay me to use their platform (bat) that I can convert to sats. And be better for privacy than Google. Whilst not compromising functionality. You've got my attention.

Brave added back their own Image/Video search engine incase anyone stop using it ever since they remove it.
