The main target of this hackathon is [Nostr Marketplace], and many members from Japan and abroad have already announced their participation. However, most of them are non-Japanese members, so I hope that you Japanese will not be shy about entering the hackathon, which is why I am writing this article today.
What is Nostr Marketplace?
Nostr Marketplace is a system that allows individuals to open stores (online stores) with other Nostr clients (NIP-15). For a detailed explanation, please take a look at "NIP-15 | Scrapbox (Japanese)" written by the Nostr Japanese community.
Nostr is an initiative that aims for a decentralized, decentralized, and censorship-free world, so I think it will be very interesting if individuals can buy and sell something on the Nostr client.
In fact, there are already several Nostr marketplaces, such as "NostrMarket" and "Plebian Market," which are well-known. But I believe that by joining forces in the Nostrasia Hackathon, we can make it even easier for everyone to use.
(It's already great, no doubt, but we want to make it even more super great!)
This is the kind of Nostr marketplace I want.
The Nostr marketplace that I personally want is something like Airbnb, and I think it would be interesting if individuals could rent or lease rooms to each other through Nostr and the Lightning Network. If we can do that, we will be one step closer to a world where we can travel almost exclusively with bitcoin, and I think it will contribute greatly to the spread of bitcoin at the grassroots level. Of course, I think Nostr will also become more and more accessible.
(Just imagining it is exciting and makes me more and more paranoid!)
Join a hackathon even if you are not a developer!
When you hear the word "hackathon," non-developers like me may think, "It's not for me..." But that's a big mistake! But you are mistaken! Hackathons need not only developers but also designers, writers like me, and testers who test the developed marketplace.
