Arent they shut down their custodial servers? (or something like that). Because I don't have a lot of satoshi though, and don't want to spend a lot of (for me) satoshi on opening channels etc.

I'd go with Blue Wallet. You'll get a seed phrase which is nice (write that down, don't store it digitally or take pictures of it), but it's still technically a hot wallet since your phone is connected to the internet. Still though, it's better than leaving them on zbd, in my opinion. https://bluewallet.io/

I've got about 50k satoshi stacked up, and that's too little for self-custody. I'm too young to buy more bitcoin to cover fees and put in on-chain or something like phoenix. I keep them on zbd, but I trust it so moderately. 
Where can I "hodl" Satoshi with little fee?
