the point Ross makes about “i get to” vs. “i have to” is a powerful one.
back in college i had a track teammate who would show up every day and ask “do we have to run 12 miles today?”
our coach would always respond with “no, you get to run 12 miles today”
it’s a psychological game changer to switch that one word when you’re faced with seemingly difficult problems.
