Howdy, stackers!
Today we're hosting our Q4 2023 Review + Q1 2024 Roadmap call to discuss all the latest developments and plans for Stacker News starting at 11am ET.
Today's hybrid format will feature a live (and recorded) Vida call with @k00b, @ekzyis, and @kr to cover 4 high-level topics:
- What was shipped in Q4 2023
- What was adoption like in Q4 2023
- What is planned for Q1 2024
- How stackers can help out
After the call, we'll transition to a roundtable discussion right on this thread for anyone to bring up questions, suggest new ideas, or give feedback on anything related to Stacker News. Feel free to share any questions here in the meantime, and they'll either be answered on the 11am ET call, or directly on Stacker News afterwards.

Bitcoin only just works.
I like the PWA development and looking forward to external wallet connection
I got in but it buffered for awhile then I couldn't see you K00b again
Well we keep botching these calls. Anyway, most of what we discussed is in the slide deck. We'll try not not f-up the next one.
Shit happens. Looking forward to the next one.
Doesn't seem to be working for me. Was cutting in and out and now I am just getting a loading circle.
same :/
At least I am not the only one.
same here lol
CORS vida?
.live vs .dev
You mean this? Yeah,
ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSEDhttps://m.stacker.news/11285
But it doesn't say CORS error, I think it usually says something else and not
ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSEDAhh... you are right, it then says, no access control allow origin header.
Yes. same issue throughout their site (FAQ/about/etc) even in the meeting page. the .dev CORS seems to be enabled .

On the subject of wallet connections,
Given any thought to persistent LNURL-W links to allow wallets to use SN as one of many sources?
Apps debiting from a node via NWC makes less sense than a wallet managing multiple
(custodial accounts)budgets from a UX perspective, particularly where mobile wallets have an online-ness problem. We've got it working in concept but SN sources break after a few minutes.

We intend to support most ways to connect external wallets. We're starting with bitcoin-connect and lightning addresses to start because they're the easiest though.
Missed it, hope there is a recording somewhere
