Ark might be cool, the only downside might be the ASP must provide the liquidity, the service fee might be a bit high, I also wonder what the onchain tx fees might cost. Otherwise it might be great to have some funds that can be sent to LN or back onchain at less cost.

I think ASPs can compete to lower fees, benefiting the end user. But liquidity is still a major issue; I don't understand if it compounds with every transaction on the ARK chain.

I think the ASP must have liquidity for all the btc locked in the ASP, the number of txs that are made does not change the required liquidity. This is my understanding.

From Mercury dev:
Ark requires capitalisation for each transfer, so if a 1 BTC coin is going to be transferred 100 times, the ASP needs to lock up 100 BTC.
