I have a week of school holidays next week, so I thought I would spend it penning a Bitcoin story aimed for young children. That’s why I want to gather feedback on the personification of Bitcoin. How would you imagine it/he/she to look like?
Also sharing a short story I wrote 2 years ago. But pls don’t judge me. I was into shitcoins then haha
Bitcoin Goes For His Writing Consultation
It was examination period at Crypto Academy. Bitcoin, who struck an impressive figure and appeared more mature than his peers, was scheduled to have a writing consultation session with Ms Satoshi.
Bitcoin strode into the classroom confidently. He took his seat beside his teacher without the latter prompting him to do so.
Ms Satoshi frowned but decided to let it pass. She began, "Bitcoin, I have always appreciated your revolutionary ideas. You think out of the box and lend your voice to the powerless, thus giving them comfort and dignity. But of late, your writing has become quite bloated. Your essays are full of bombastic words and convoluted sentence structures, so they are a bit hard to read."
Bitcoin grimaced. Pouting, he replied, "But I'm changing the world. I'm now a common sight in El Salvador. Other countries like Vietnam and Venezulea adore my writing. Why, China finds me such a threat that I'm banned for her people. So what if people take a longer time to digest my ideas?"
Ms Satoshi realised that Bitcoin was right. He did have the first mover advantage. But the world was evolving. Fast. If Bitcoin continued to rest on his laurels, his classmates could overtake him. Solana was a delightful surprise with his light, breezy writing. Cardano even managed to organise the Cardano Summit 2021 the other day and dazzled jam-packed audiences with his spellbinding ideas.
She pointed her concerns out to Bitcoin.
"But, Ms Satoshi, Litecoin has been imitating my style for so long but his essays don't gain as much traction. I regard Cardano and Solana as small fries." Bitcoin protested.
Moreover, Bitcoin went on to elaborate, he was so successful that many of his fans were adapting his work to their needs. Lightning Network helped simplify his ideas for the masses. Wrapped Bitcoin helped make his ideas readily available on multiple platforms. Not to mention Bitcoin Cash who was helping him publicise his ideas. He had no lack of collaborators!
Ms Satoshi sighed inwardly. She realised that she needed to pick her battles carefully. Bitcoin's mind was not yet ripe for new ideas.
"All right then. Can you help me ask Ethereum to come into the classroom?"
