i’m always amazed at the countries that rank highly on bitcoin searches.

Slovenia & Slovakia are basically never mentioned in discourse on Bitcoin twitter or Stacker News.

reply

True. I myself have very little information about Bitcoin adoption in these countries. In Czech Republic there is Trezor and SatoshiLab, and Institute of Cryptoanarchy founded also by some Slovaks, the institute has some branches in Slovakia and Austria; Bitcoin conference in Prague is pretty popular. Some activities have been organized in Slovenia, too. But it seems that Bitcoin is more popular than I thought.

reply

Lol, Argentina and Mexico! I have always thought that these two nations have been more enthusiastic for Bitcoin. But stats, as they won't lie, I must say these people are going nowhere with this mindset.

reply

Maybe people know so much about Bitcoin that they don’t have to search for it anymore? 😉

reply

Yes, yes, they have all done masters in Bitcoin.😜

reply

Bitcoin is for the people! Those who need it most probably don’t talk to others or use google!

reply

Poor people talk to others and use google.

reply

lol, no privacy there. They even own “your” Google docs

reply

True.

reply

Dollars and tether are popular in Argentina

Dollars are accepted almost everywhere

reply

I don't think those searches reflect the whole reality, many Bitcoiners don't use google to search for Bitcoin, that's for sure.

reply

The searches reflect general public interest, not number of actual bitcoiners yes
