Morning! Here's a new track I've been working on recently. I think it's near completion, I'd love to hear your thoughts on it. I tend to write a lot of meditative music. Late night listening kind of stuff. Ambient / Classical vibes.

It makes for an interesting ambient track! Your music style reminds me a bit of something I've heard somewhere, I can't put my finger on it though. Anyway, I sent you a boost over on Wavlake too. A couple of days ago Public_N_M_E and I were discussing how nice it would be to have some sort of direct integration with the V4V sites so we could send artists sats directly from here.

thank you for sharing these kind words and for the sats! If you ever think of what it reminds you of please let me know! Is it possible for that kind of link to happen? It really would be great for podcasts and music alike..!
reply
I will certainly try to remember to do that! On the link, I'm not sure. I would think it could be done from what I understand of the technology, but I'm also not a developer. So my understanding is limited! It would be something the developers of SN would have to look at and see if it's worth the time investment. I do think it would be great though.

That's really nice. It sounds kinda like the sort of thing you'd find in a game soundtrack, like Skyrim or some kind of elder scrolls game. I can picture standing on top of a mountain looking across a valley, or overlooking a small town whilst that was playing. I think it really works nicely when visualised in gaming soundtracks. Great work, keep at it 👊

Thank you — I'd love nothing more than to compose a soundtrack for a game! Always on the lookout for opportunities!
reply
Can't help you there. But perhaps someone over in ~gaming might be able to? I don't know much about that territory, but there could be people there lurking about that are involved or know someone involved with game design that might be looking for a soundtrack musician? Just a thought, you could try it?
I also forgot to mention, check this post out for details #473299 and if the idea of renting the Pin space appeals to you feel free to reach out and we can come to some arrangement that helps you get your work out there.
Keep composing, it sounds great and I hope you do get to do a game soundtrack sometime, when you do, I want to hear it!

I Love Rock and Roll - Joan Jett & the Blackhearts

I Love Rock and Roll - First to Eleven

They generally do some really good covers, and I've discovered some new music that way! On this cover I really like the heavier sounding notes the guitarist drops in during the chorus.

I love Audra, she's fantastic, she's got such great vocals and honestly the guitarist from F211 is really really good aswell. Great cover band and really fun to watch, so much energy. I hope those kids do well.
Great track aswell Joan Jett on a Friday! What a great day we're having.
reply
They are quite good. They add their own spin on many of the songs without changing what originally made the song great.
Joan has some great songs, that's for sure.

"Antisocial" is a song by the French hard rock band Trust, from their album Répression. The song was written by Bernie Bonvoisin and Norbert Krief.
Unusually for a hard rock track, it was played on mainstream radio stations RTL and France Inter, helping the album sell over 800,000 copies in 1980. Evoking a dehumanised, individualistic and brutal society, the lyrics captured the alienation of a generation disillusioned by the excesses of its elders and the 1973 oil crisis. According to rock critic Michka Assayas, "Antisocial" is "the hymn that definitely buried the Glorious Thirty".
