they say your heart speaks greater volumes than your mind ever will.
but that can be really hard sometimes. your mind is very very loud, and it protects you from the uncomfortable things that provoke change.
your heart on the other hand? that thing tends to tell you exactly what you want in life.
for such a long time, i have always debated back and forth between if i should do things the easy way, or the right way.
the easy way at least for me would to just give into the standard way of living:
go back home, get a job i probably hate (in this economy it is like impossible unless you have really well formed connections, or superb networking skills), and then anticipate that good ol’ retirement. where in reality, freedom becomes restricted to the last 20-30ish years of your life.
or, to go the right way, which tends to never be easy at all. which for me, is experiencing life in the most unconventional way possible.
quitting my job back at home,
starting a new one in japan, and then quitting after a month in because it isn’t for me,
and trying to convert to full time traveler here in japan all while attempting to find and or build and establish another source of income for myself.
what that is exactly? i don’t know yet, but it needs to be something where i am able to get up and go whenever and wherever i please. i love writing in all types of senses and teaching people to become better writers (being a tutor in my previous job, and writing here on stacker news has slowly made me realize this) so maybe something will come out of it.
this here, is what my inner calling is. i have realized that whatever my heart and soul yearns for the most is what i will stop at nothing to get.
as cliche as it sounds, if you have faith in what you truly desire, it will happen.
i am also learning to better believe and have faith in myself and in the things i do to keep moving forward, and i hope this post can give you a spark of inspiration to keep going with whatever it is you’re chasing after!
