I am genuinely confused by this announcement... After all DTCC not only handles the majority of securities settlements in the US but they are the ones that caused numerous brokerages to have to halt GameStop trading during the short squeeze. Then again I am for the traditional players getting knocked down some pegs so I hope this bites them in the ass big time.
