This is the original post: On May 3rd, 2024, @PhoenixWallet will be removed from US app stores
So a lot of people have been wondering - are they going to do what Wallet of Satoshi did, and not allow payments to US wallets?
I just did a test. It went fine. So not an immediate shut-down with geo-fencing.
Anyone else try it?
I'm still planning on expanding my wallets, but maybe I have a little more time before I need to get serious...

Thank you for your service but it's best to take them at their word and spend your time on alternatives. I'm enjoying the combo of Mutiny and cashu. Cashu specifically with many mints is almost like a VPN. If one mint doesn't have good connectivity another may.

Yes, seems like there's a whole world of alternatives like Cashu, liquid, federations, and so forth. I know I'm jumbling things up a bit, but I'm definitely at the beginner stage here.
And that's on top of other actual lightning wallets....

Check out cashu.me and connect a couple mints. Use with small test amounts. My experience paying zap.stream invoices has been that they work better from one of the mints than from Mutiny. Mutiny uses LSP while each mint has its own connectivity to the lightning network.
