Yes, it is true that the policies of the current US administration are a disaster. The Biden administration is consistently steering the country towards a fiscal catastrophe, damaging its reputation abroad and waging proxy wars that it can no longer actually finance. But despite all the foolish actions and naively childish rhetoric: the USA lives from the spirit of the people who support it, the entrepreneurs and employees, the majority of whom still live the spirit of personal responsibility and free markets.
You really can't say that about the majority of Europeans anymore. Here, an entire continent, led by a completely mentally derailed political class, has allowed itself to be taken into the climate protection box and is pursuing the destruction of its own economic basis with a verve that is probably unique in the history of economics. If you have too much time on your hands, if you are bored beyond belief, you should take the time to study the regulations, harmonizations and bureaucratic decrees of the eurozone capitals and the Brussels socialist apparatus. There is certainly no other place like it outside the North Korean circle of highly intellectual 'thinkers'.
The consequence of this general attack on entrepreneurial freedom and personal initiative is the shrinking of economic productivity. Over-indebtedness, investment outflows and a widening prosperity gap with the USA as the economic benchmark are driving the decline. This trend is likely to accelerate considerably in the coming years, as the European Union has proven to be one thing above all else: Resistant to advice.

Buck up. You've got a long ways to go to catch up to Mao's China on this score.
