that was a slow read. I remember something like this happened to me. My boss, which no one likes, told me I had to clean this skid. That I had to clean it because the general manager told him to tell me. So I said fine, I would clean it. In my rush, I dumped a bucked on water on an electrical box and watched as everything shut down and smoked. In the end, we replaced the electrical box and everything was good. Then it was time for my review. They asked me a bunch of questions, and I admitted the that GM has said that he wanted this cleaned tonight, which I did. Then they asked me if they had told me to cover that box, which they had. And I had not done. Then I said, lets get the GM in here and I will apologize to him about the cleaning. My boss's face melted off, he had been using the GMs name to get things done. After it was all said and done, they swept it under the rug and I left with a smirk on my face. My supervisor just laughed, they tried everything to find a reason that I didnt cover the box, and I just said I hadnt listened. The supervisor laughed at how oblivious I was to their prodding, and told me he has never seen anyone tell the truth and get away with something like that in the 20 years he has been a manager. :)
