I've read a lot of Ballard, who was fascinating and weird (he wrote the novels adapted into High-Rise and Cronenberg's Crash). But I wasn't familiar with either the story mentioned here or the later computer-generated poetry he work with.
Human prose and poetry = proof of work AI-generated = proof of stake
Even using AI as an inspiration for creating art or as a cure for writer's block is kinda etherum
