This article [1] published back in 2021 warned us that 802.11bf plans to standardize how Wi-Fi devices map and scan objects within it's connection range. It said that the standard will be introduced in September of this year.
For those that aren't aware, there has been research into using AI to interpret distortions in Wi-Fi signals to observe surroundings. Anyone with access to your router can effectively "video record" you through your walls. Your neighbor could even setup devices that monitor you without your permission.
This is being pushed at the hardware manufacturing level as a standard so expect to see all Wi-Fi enabled devices support this capability.

It is most prudent to just assume someone can see what you're doing and act accordingly.

At this point everyone might as well have their own OnlyFans so we can at least get paid when people watch us.

That uh. That sounds a little concerning.

I wonder if it's possible to use a device to obfuscate the motion of objects without interfering with normal internet traffic. For example, introduce a stronger and randomized signal or even an adversarial one that makes it look like you're doing something else or that you're home even when you're not. I don't want strangers roaming around in a van looking for empty houses to break into just by using the Wi-Fi.
