Note that Ray goes from "sensible" to "terrible" pretty much right away (on purpose), but honestly, I'd still be okay with things like, "Name nine A's to the American League team so they can prove to their families and friends that they do so play in the major leagues."

I wouldn't mind if they tried something similar to what the NHL did with North America vs the World. They could do US vs International.

Yeah, that would be interesting, and the whole "NL vs AL" thing means less in a world where interleague play has been the norm for an entire generation.

I think realignment is coming along with expansion in the next few years and the leagues will become conferences anyways,
