Reports: Mbappé to Miss First El Clásico Against Barcelona with Real Madrid

Media reports have revealed the status of Real Madrid's new star, Kylian Mbappé, regarding his participation in the first highly anticipated El Clásico match against rivals Barcelona.

A few weeks ago, Real Madrid announced their signing of Mbappé on a free transfer after his contract with Paris Saint-Germain ended, and he was presented yesterday, Tuesday, at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in front of the royal fans.

Real Madrid is preparing for a pre-season tour in the United States before the start of the new season, during which they will play three matches, including El Clásico against Barcelona, as well as matches against Milan and Chelsea. According to The Athletic, Mbappé will not travel with Real Madrid for their pre-season camp in the United States, which features the first El Clásico against Barcelona since he joined the team.

The French forward, who recently bid farewell to the Euros 2024 with the French national team after being eliminated in the semi-finals, had expressed his readiness to participate in the pre-season tour, saying in a press conference following his presentation: "If the club wants me to go, I will go."

However, Real Madrid's management has decided not to send him, to give him more time to rest. He will start his pre-season training with his new teammates at the club's training ground on August 7. Real Madrid's plan is for Mbappé to participate in the UEFA Super Cup against Atalanta on August 14.
