PEACH BASIL GINGER TEA
  • Sliced fresh peach 🍑
  • Bunch of fresh Thai lemon basil including young basil flowers 🪴
  • Ginger 🫚
  • Turmeric 🫚
Places sliced ginger and turmeric in 8-10 cups of water and bring to boil (putting the roots in before the water boils allows them more soaking / infusion time as the water heats).
Once boiling, allow ginger and turmeric to boil for 5 mins - stirring gentle a few times during the boil.
Reduce heat to simmer and add peach and basil. Let simmer for 10 minutes.
Fills 2.5-3 32oz mason jars.
Benefits: Anti-inflammation, anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-bloating / gut regulation, immunity boost, tooth and breath health.
Nice recipe! I do a similar one but instead peach and basil I use black a bit of pepper and cardamon!
I also reuse the boiled ginger and turmeric in other meals like salads or as ornament in morning breakfast. As the flavour is not that strong anymore it add a nice touch.

Yeah, we're always searching for what to do with the boiled leftovers. Sometimes we can get two batches of tea out of them. For the boiled greens and berries we can also use those for compost, putting them back into the garden that they came from :)
