Tomorrow morning Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will be addressing a joint session of Congress. Given the emotions tied to this and the Secret Service's failure two weeks ago, it is safe to say security will be tight. This morning walking to work I realized that DC was going with a layered approach. The Capitol itself has the unscalable fencing once more but DC is expanding its border with regular fencing around the House Office Buildings as well

Later on I plan on walking around the complex more and see what else they have done but with Bibi already here protests have already begun 🙃

Update: Via the news here is what the rest of it is starting to look like. They have placed concrete blocks as well it turns out!

this territory is moderated

As Ron Paul used to say. If Congress feels the need to enclose itself in a protective bubble out of fear, perhaps examine the laws they pass.

reply

This isn't about any laws though. This is because of a visiting foreign dignitary.

reply

Shame they can't protect other presidential candidates like that.....happy for the foreigners though. They are probably just doing that to save democracy.

DC has unscalable fencing?

I wonder if we could build an unscalable fence in Texas , New Mexico, Arizona, California?

reply

One day these fences will be used to keep Americans in. Mark my words.

reply

Interesting. We've already seen it in Canada. Any specific thoughts?

reply

I think you can figure it out. Read Mandibles

This immediately makes me think of South Park lol!

reply

Good point!

But that would not stop the NGO organizations from flying in Illegal Immigrants.

reply

I think you're right

After Jan 6 they got this new fencing stuff that I will take a better picture of later today! The top of it typically would have razor wire as the last lien of defense and we have already seen how the admin care about using razor wire in Texas.... But totally okay if we use it in DC!

I think it is safe to say that incompetence will prevail.

But thank you for sharing the photos.

Law Enforcement from across the US including the FBI are already here. It wouldn't surprise me to state seeing some National Guard people as well.
