As you know, @coinsreporter, is running an Olympics All Sports pool with details at the following link #618080 .
Today the first sport, men’s Rugby Sevens, have completed the four teams which will fight for the medals on Saturday 27th. These teams are South Africa, France, Fiji and Australia.
In addition, women’s football has started its road as well. France, Germany, Spain, Canada (@grayruby already told us that they are good), Brazil and US have all won their initial games. No surprises after the first round at group stage. Next game on Sunday 28th.
Also, it has commenced women’s handball. Again, it is group stage. Korea and Brazil beat European rivals, Germany and Spain. Sweden edged out their neighbours, Norway. France, Denmark and the Netherlands also won their games.
Finally, Archery has also made its debut. It has been a preliminary round to establish the rankings, and, in both categories, the Republic of Korea has occupied top first and second places. On Tuesday 30th, they will continue with the 1/32 elimination round.
Tomorrow the opening ceremony will attract all the attention, then, on Saturday, plenty of action with many sports initiating their road to the medals. Between them, men’s basketball, though the big favourites will not be seen until Sunday 28th.
@grayruby gotta support his homeland!
I'm from India and I'm hopeful that India wins at least two gold medals this time with a total tally going up in 2 digits which will be an exceptional feet for the world's largest population.
