Early adopters keeping a low profile, trying not to draw too much attention.
Even if he didn't get orangepilled early on (unlikely imo) there is a big chance he mined a fortune on his cpu very early on just for trying it out.
Kind of like old money families try to keep a low profile.

Wow this AMA is great! I never put together that Wei and Szabo attended Udub for CS at almost the same time. Even if they weren't contemporaries they certainly took similar classes/ had similar professors. Two of my absolute favorites in the space :)
I remember googling around for him awhile ago and not much turned up. Kind of weird but I also didn't look super hard.
