Empaths often complain about being too empathetic.
I always tell them their empathy works both ways.
It enables them to change other people's thoughts, emotions and behavior just by being nearby.
Most empaths choose not to use the positive aspect of empathy.
They would rather imagine themselves negatively as victims of their empathy.
Definitely a strength but it can be a weakness if you let empathy cloud your decision making. For instance, you may have someone who works for you that you need to let go because their work performance is weak. Maybe this person has something going on in their lives right now (sick family member, or financial problems, or just had a child etc) that you empathize with but shouldn't preclude you from making the logical decision.
