Keep the women out of #bitcoin to save society!!
Oh believe me, I know, a lot of you agree with this. But someone needs to say it; this. is. bullshit.
And make no mistake, there are men who are very deliberately trying to keep us out due to these beliefs. Some of you know it, because it's you. Some of you are too good of men to believe it, but be aware it's a very real thing.
What a disgusting clip! That misogynist twerp is a real problem for Bitcoin’s image, and it’s really rather gross so many bitcoiners fawn over him.
He always struck me as a tool, and so I wondered what possible qualification he has to justify so much airtime. That clip should be enough to put my mind at ease, though: he is too nasty and harbors too much hate for me to care.
Thanks for sharing your truth, and sorry you have to deal with this.
reply
Dealing with it means dealing with the guys who he has influenced. Which is a hell of a lot of them. And.... they're pretty shitty human beings. Some of them are treating women in really horrible ways to get women to leave.

Most women would value safety over freedom and not been highly versed in deep understanding of economics (i.e., Austrian economics, a notable exception being Lyn Alden). At the same time the Bolsheviks took power and spread their socialist seeds way before women entered the public sphere

Give me liberty, or give me death, and GFY.

Most humans, really.

In that clip, he didn’t say anything about keeping women out of Bitcoin.
He suggested that universal suffrage and women being in leadership positions is bad for society.
I’ve been wondering lately whether there’s any correlation between the rising authoritarianism and socialism in the liberal West and there being more women in leadership positions, or is it just a coincidence.
reply
Remarkable coincidence. Or not.
reply
oh. yeah. that definitely makes sense. women gaining such freedom happened in, what, the last 70 years or so? There was definitely never any authoritarianism or tyranny anywhere in the world any time in history before that, so we definitely can't blame men. I'm glad you're so smart.
reply
Maybe women as leaders generally value things like communal values and keeping everyone “safe” more than their male counterparts.
This might come at the cost for personal freedoms, self-sovereignty and free markets.
The pandemic was a small case study with the lockdowns and vaccine passes in order to protect and to create “safe spaces”.
reply
More likely, men are like "We're protectors, we'd better make things overly safe" and then the women, who according to svetski really like chaos, come along and say "this is bullshit, your safety came at the cost of my personal freedom and self-sovereignty... I think I shall create feminism to take back my freedom and sovereignty."
Or maybe, saying "it's because of women or men" the way bitcoiners overly do, is very stupid and can be twisted ANY which way one pleases, as it benefits oneself.
reply
Gaining freedom is different from voting or holding positions of leadership or authority
reply
It is not.
reply
It is farfetched to say that women are destroying society, but it has been definitely been confirmed by independent sources in many western countries that women tend to vote for more government and other socialist causes, which is contributing to the problems we have. Not sure what the answer is though.
reply
Uh, it's not that hard. Make capitalism work for us too. If you say "women must stay in the home, have babies, do nothing," capitalism is not something they have a vested interest in supporting. So encourage us to start businesses, have startups, etc etc, so that we also want it.
reply
You see, that's part of the problem, you want people to accept you as leaders, but you are not even willing to take responsibility for your actions.
So encourage us to start businesses, have startups, etc etc, so that we also want it.
why do you have to wait for someone else to tell you what to do? Why not just do what you think is right?
reply
who are you responding to? I think you responded to the wrong post. I'm not sure who's not taking responsibility for their actions, but it's not me.
and don't worry. I'm not waiting. :) :) :) for that matter, women these days aren't. Not really any of them. Pretty cool, really.

Nothing else to add... I will let this conversation stand like this everyone judge for themselves.
reply
Well, either you've got information I don't about my actions, or you think women doing what they think is right is not taking responsibility, or you think I'm not doing what I think is right...... actually I'm not sure what in the world you're saying.
reply
people forget, that like a gun, bitcoin can be used by those we like, and those we don't. it's a tool that can be used by all and it's not linked to gender or ideology
reply
nobody forgets that.
reply
Bitcoin's incentives are the same for everyone and you get the price you deserve, people are going to have opinions, nothing we can do about that, everyone makes up their own mind and deals with the consequences of it
reply
sure sure, but if you want the network of people, and it's making you unsafe..... well you'll be doing it without connections, and that has an effect
reply
I'm not following, could you give me an example?
reply
The fact that most women are voting for Kamala is troubling and predictable
reply
yeah.... if you tell women to stay home and only have babies, and remove them from the benefits of capitalism and business and such things.... they have no skin in the game. If you want capitalism to be predominant.... get women involved in it too. Then they'll vote for what helps them.
reply
