Google's OS is not good, it's is even worse. The following is a list of Degoogled mobile operating systems with an emphasis on privacy and security:
  1. LineageOS
    • An open-source OS based on Android, popular for its customization aspect and complete lack of Google services.
  2. GrapheneOS
    • A fork of Android: it is for Google Pixel devices only and concentrates much on sandboxing and hardening from both the privacy and security view.
  3. CalyxOS
  • Yet another Android-based operating system but focuses on privacy. This one is based on Tor, among other things, and is available for Pixel devices as well.
  1. /e/ (e.foundation)
    • Easy to use operating system based on top of Android without Google services. Includes an alternative application store. It does indeed focus a lot on privacy.
  2. PureOS
    • From Purism, for the Librem 5 phone. Much focus is put on freedom, privacy, and security.
  3. PostmarketOS
    • A Linux-based OS for mobile devices, developed with the long-term goal of providing support and usability independently of Android.
  4. Sailfish OS
    • A highly privacy- and security-oriented Linux-based OS that allows using Android applications with Jolla's Alien Dalvik.
  5. Ubuntu Touch
    • Community-driven project to bring an Ubuntu touch-friendly edition to mobile devices.
  6. LuneOS
    • Open source, drawing inspiration from webOS to create a mobile OS that is simple in style for the latest devices.
These alternatives not only reduce the number of dependencies on Google services but also improve the freedom, security and privacy features in demand today.
