Sometimes you have to take risks to grow. What's the biggest risk you've ever taken that ended up paying off.
My biggest risk that paid off was moving to another country and starting a new life 10 years ago due to corruption and torture in my home country.

I left my studies after high school for logistics business which was not doing well. And guess what I can say I'm pretty much successful now.

Quitting my 10+ year job because of a covid vax mandate. Ended up with a pay raise, my integrity, and no myocarditis.

Starting all over again, by accepting the sunk cost.
Sometimes, there is nothing you can do and the best bet is to start over from scratch.

Self-studying the Bitcoin mystery was a pain in the neck when it came out. Now it is going to the moon. It really paid off.

I bought bitcoin, moved it to cold storage, and have been patiently saving for the future.

Not long ago, I decided to quit my fiat job. Of course, I should have been buying more sats using the fiat I used to earn. But spending my precoius time on Bitcoin with fellow Bitcoiners, is worth it. I'm happier working on Bitcoin.

similar story.
Was on the academic track -- grad school offer in hand. Decided to take a year off; Covid hit and instead of reading dusty old archives I was traveling the world and writing about the madness.
Started working with Bitcoiners, editing/writing/stacking like a maniac. Settled down in an expensive country.
If #bitcoin doesn't pan off the way we expect, I might be royally fucked. (Well, I'm in good company for that kind of high-stakes risk-taking lol: https://x.com/dogeofficialceo/status/1843382048767258909)
Yours is an excellent one.
I have a couple of them.
A few years after starting my business as a side gig and after a 1 year contract job ended. I was offered a renewal but decided to focus solely on my business instead. I took a 70% pay cut (well 70% gross, net it was closer to 50%).
My wife and I stuck it out in the early years and created a great life and family even though when we first got together we lived a 5 hour flight away in different countries. Even after my son was born the first four years or so we did a lot of travelling between Canada and the US and at times spent a lot of time apart as I was working on my business in Canada and she was working/taking care of the little one/sorting out life in the US. After much debate and discussion and me almost relocating to the US, we eventually settled in Canada permanently. (At least semi-permanently, we do plan to have a home in the US as well at some point).

Family is all we have in this world. I'm glad you stuck it out, and it worked out.
