I have a couple over 8 years running Ubuntu and Start9.
Might get a newer one soon. It works but its kinda an important thing to use it for so I should probably upgrade.

I have multiple computers, the most recent one I own for less than a year, but it's refurbished Lenovo ThinkPad T470s.

I’ve had my main computer for 12 years. It still does what I need and isn’t slow so I see no reason to upgrade.
My Plex server is almost 5 years old. I did upgrade the CPU and RAM 2 years ago though.

Can't really recommend the current one that I've had for less than a year. Some of my favorites are like 10+ years old by now, can play video, have HDMI out, Ethernet ports, DVD drives. Enjoy your quest.
