Just listened to the first episode of Stacker_Sports pod and I have thoughts… \ stacker news ~Stacker

It was great!!

Of course the most profound thing, and this can’t be emphasized enough, is to hear @Undisciplined and @grayruby voices.

Of course we know they’re real people, and not just anonymous nyms, but still.

Talking about @Coinsreporter or @Golu like they’re real ppl in India who know nothing about Baseball, but want pools for Cricket!

On the fountain episode, @ek @BlokchainB and myself are real people sending zaps on fountain in support. Proving the V4V ethos!

There’s of course things to be cleaned up. @grayruby sounds too quiet in his audio compared to @Undisciplined. And yes the episode would’ve been better if it was 30min cuz u guys did just ramble on. But it’s ok it was fun you two were clearly having fun. I hope you’re encouraged to keep going! I’ve tried my hand myself at doing a podcast and know how much work it takes to actually be good.

Separate episodes on: Pools and Fantasy on SN State of each sports league Nitrobetting and actual gambling

Anyways as long as you keep doing it for you, that’s what’s most important. Forget barstool sports. More like ~Stacker_Sports!

I second it. I enjoyed the listen on my way I to work. One thing I noticed, and it could be a few things on my end (I like listening 1.25x speed) was the audio was a bit choppy. Perhaps that's only my experience. Solid first episode, will tune in/stream sats from time to time for sure. Look forward to other topics like game previews, pool updates, competitions run, idea/concepts for pools etc. Look forward to being a part of this in a way!

I'll add that I like this community, especially because it's not ONLY about BTC, think it's the one territory/community with the largest potential audience that exists on SN, but I'm also not very active in other territories as much.

I listened at 2x speed. Wasn’t choppy but even at 2x I noticed silences 😅

Definitely you’re right. There’s more and more players too taking their salaries in bitcoin!

Definitely things to be improved upon. Certainly started slow and took awhile to get more into a groove. The intent is to be more of a couple friends shooting the shit about sports like we do on SN but in audio form with some more structured elements regarding the territory/contests etc. I did think it went on a bit long. I am sure we will find our sweet spot in terms of length at some point. Also hoping to add some intro music at latest by next week. (had a bit of a snafu in that regard that I need to sort out so I am not sure I am going to have our musical clip ready for this week's episode- but I will try). Definitely my audio got quieter as the episode went on. I am using a headset with a mic and I kept moving the mic to get a drink of water and guess I didn't place it back close enough to my mouth. Live and learn.

Our aim is try to improve each episode a bit over the last. @Undisciplined is a semi-pro. This is new to me. I ran my own business for over 15 years and talked to everyone face to face. Presented face to face. Certainly talked to customers on the phone and employees over the phone but didn't really have zoom meetings or conference calls.

I had very little notes for the first episode but I am going to make some more notes for this one. Although we definitely don't want it to be scripted so will aim to find the right balance with that as well.
