Another week has gone and, again, a new leader at the top of the table. Due to goal difference, Aston Villa is at the top with 9 points. Liverpool follows close with same points, but one goal less. Man City completes the podium with 7 points. Monaco and Brest (another week for this French side at the top) from France, Leverkusen from Germany, Inter from Italy and Sporting from Portugal are the other teams at top 8 this week.
As mentioned in my previous posts, two matches were above all and indeed they were. Real Madrid beat Borussia 5-2 with a hat trick by Vinicius, after coming back from 0-2 at the end of the first half. Barça won against Bayer (4-1) in the other top match of the week, with Raphinha in star role scoring another hat trick. Brazil must be very proud of their players.

On fire

Premiership sides are at the top of the table, no surprises here. Also Arsenal ranks 9th , so they are close too with the same points, though less amounts of goals. Brest is a surprise but still there after week 3, and this week held a draw against Leverkusen. Their fans must be very happy with this incredible run.

Hot zone

Even though Barça and real Madrid won their matches, they are still in 10th and 12th place. PSG and Bayern are getting closer to the last posts to qualify. They have time to secure the spot but they must perform better in the next weeks.

Getting colder

Milan and Atletico are out of the play-offs positions. They should get easily back to them though they are playing with fire. Leipzig, Sturm Graz, Red Star, Salzburg, Young Boys and Slovan Bratislava are still pointless.

Stacker rankings

This week @Athena and @Carresan have led the group with 14 points. @grayruby followed very close with 13.
After 3 weeks, three stackers are at the top of the table with 33 points: @undisciplined , @grayruby and @carresan . It's remarkable how consistent @Undisciplined is, achieving 11 points every week. @coinsreporter, with 30, and @ChrisS, with 29, follow close.

No worries! Keep pushing. Still early in the competition.

This new Champions League format has made it much more attractive. When teams were separated into groups, many games were table-based only. Every game is worth a lot today.

Yes, most of top teams managed to get enough points by November and forget about the UCL until March. With this format they will need to keep paying attention pretty much up to the end of the regular phase.

Before the Champions League started I didn't agree with this new format!! But the truth is that as the matches have progressed the result is that more competition is generated and that is good!! So far I really like Arsenal's performance!! Let's go💪💪

I agree! You can see that teams keep trying to score more goals and matches are much more entertaining.
