pull down to refresh

My wife and I over the years have adopted several elderly dogs, either their owners passed, or they were given away. We got Beau when we was 9. We had him a good four years with him and he was my best boy. I drew him in pencil/color pencil before he went.
Time passes. It's been a little too long since I've drawn anything. Due to time constraints, lack of motivation and various other excuses.
I should really get back into it.
And damn if I don't miss that dog.

I'm sorry for your loss, the puppies are now part of our family. On the other hand, is it a drawing? I swear that at first glance I thought it was a photo, you have an incredible talent for this.

Mechanical pencil. And then a layer of color.
One of my others all mechanical pencil. Like I said though. I'm untrained and super inconsistent 😅

Are you seriously saying you're not an expert? You're very talented. Keep posting your art. This Tyrion Lannister one is awesome.

I've was called a "doodler" by a friend's brother back in the day and I'll stick to that.
Honestly it's what motivated me to try harder to prove it to myself. Used to have a little space set up. Even got into painting from watching Bob Ross on Netflix 😂. Just seem to only do it for myself, when I feel like it.
Comes in waves, but I'm feeling the tide withdraw from shore.
Thank you for the words of encouragement
